Six kids, three adults, and one very committed dog (tied to a waist like a furry flotation device) march across a narrow log spanning a river - no hesitation, no drama, just pure chaotic confidence. I, on the other hand, opted for the illusion of safety and swam, only to discover the water was colder, deeper, and somehow more terrifying than the log. This painting captures the wild optimism of group decisions, the mystery of childhood balance, and the soggy act of defiance that comes from choosing the scarier option… accidentally.
