This painting was created during the great non-arrival of Cyclone Alfred - a time when the forecast promised drama, but the skies delivered beach weather. Day after sunny day, we waited. The weather man insisted Alfred was coming. Alfred, apparently, had other plans. This piece captures the peculiar tension of waiting for chaos while sipping iced coffee and wondering if you should still cancel your weekend plans.
